Program

Eligibility

16 years of age minimum.

Be either a junior or senior in high school.

Attend an orientation and be accepted

to the program.​

Minimum 10th-grade education level.​

Standard

Class Day

Monday - Friday:

1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

The program begins once a year: August

CA Department of Public Health guidelines are in effect.

Monday - Friday

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Lunch 11 AM - 12 PM

The program begins in August.

CA Department of Public Health guidelines  for schools are in effect.

Fees*

No cost for Hesperia Unified School District students. However, after the HUSD student graduates and with no break in enrollment, the hourly fee with be $6 until

the remaining hours are completed

Fall 2022 August 2022:

$5200

Initial payment of $2,500 due on the day of enrollment in the form of a money order or cashiers check made out to HUSD. 

No personal checks are accepted.

There will be an additional monthly payments required until paid in full.  Full $5200 must be paid in full by April 28, 2023. Full tuition must be completely paid by the time the student has reached the last 100 learning hours to complete the program.

*Monthly payments may be lowered with a

larger initial payment.

* Program fees do not  include preapplication or  State Board Licensing fees which are an additional cost paid by the student.

Meet the Instructors

Katie McLauchlin

Instructor

She has been in the cosmetology industry for over 22 years and has been an instructor for over 12 years. Since she was a little girl Katie knew she wanted to be a Cosmetologist. Now she is living the dream as she gets to inspire others whose passion is Cosmetology.

Valerie Guillen

Instructor

Valerie is a proud 2003 graduate of our Cosmetology program where she started as a high school student. She has been in the industry for over 18 years. Valerie has a psychology degree from CSU San Bernardino, however, cosmetology is her passion.

Michelle Robinson

Instructor

She has been in the industry for over 25 years and began teaching  in 2013.

On her first day of teaching, Michelle knew she wanted to retire from HUSD. She is very passionate and takes pride in contributing to the program's high pass rate.
